EMPA SCHOLARSHIP
Following each annual EMPA conference in Australia and New Zealand, one delegate will be selected by the EMPA Board on merit to attend the following conference in the other country.
Scholarship applications open following the conclusion of each conference and remain open forfour weeks. A Selection Panel will then review applications and may contact applicants if they have further questions. The successful applicant will be notified of the outcome within a month of the closing date to allow them time to book flights.
What the Scholarship includes:
• Full registration to the EMPA Conference and gala dinner
• Meetings arranged with keynotes and leaders in your field
• A maximum of $1,000 AUD towards flights and other associated travel costs
• Accommodation will be booked and paid for by the conference organisers for up to four nights
• A certificate of recognition
Scholarship total estimated value $3,500 AUD.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
• Have attended the most recent EMPA conference in their home country as a paid delegate.
• Be willing and able to travel to the NZ EMPA conference to be held on 5-6 November 2026 in Wellington.
• Submit their application by email to secretary@empa.org.au no later than Sunday 12 July2026 and address all criteria.
NOTE: The scholarship is not open to EMPA Fellows, Board Members, Conference Committee, Members, Former Board Members or Former Conference Committee Members.
Expectations of the Recipient
By accepting the scholarship, the recipient agrees to:
• Promote, contribute to and attend the next EMPA Conference in their home country
• Feature in and contribute to social media (including video) and other promotional materials before and after the conference as agreed by EMPA
• Participate in an EMPA webinar sharing their experience
• Supply receipts for reimbursement
• If relevant, obtain agreement from their employer to attend the next EMPA Conference.
